Customs, Duties & Import Taxes
Orders ship from Japan. Import charges in the destination country are the buyer's responsibility.
Who pays what
Checkout covers the goods and the shipping service. It does not include import duty, VAT, GST, or the customs brokerage and handling fee a carrier adds for clearing a parcel.
Those are levied by your government, not by us, and are payable by whoever receives the parcel. Shipments go DAP (Delivered At Place), so the carrier contacts you for any charges before delivery.
Japanese consumption tax
Goods exported from Japan are zero-rated for Japanese consumption tax, so no Japanese tax is added to an international order.
Orders delivered inside Japan are charged Japanese consumption tax at the applicable rate, shown at checkout.
Duty-free thresholds
Most countries set a value below which duty or tax is not collected. The threshold differs by country, and sometimes differs between duty and tax within the same country.
Consolidating several boxes into one parcel can push an order over a threshold that separate parcels would have stayed under. The European Union charges VAT on imported goods of any value, with no low-value exemption. The United Kingdom charges import VAT on commercial imports and adds duty above a threshold. Buyers elsewhere should check their own current thresholds before ordering, since these change.
Declarations
Every parcel is declared at the price actually paid, with an accurate description and the correct tariff classification for sealed trading card products.
We cannot declare an order as a gift or a sample, or at a lower value. That is an offence in your country and in ours, and we will decline the request.
Refused and abandoned parcels
If import charges go unpaid and a parcel is returned, the outbound and return shipping and any carrier fees are deducted from the refund. Where customs destroys goods rather than returning them, no refund is possible.
Check your own import rules before ordering, particularly if your country restricts commercial imports by private individuals.
